Mohammed Al Turki

Mohammed Al Turki is a Saudi film producer, entrepreneur, philanthropist, and cultural leader. Recognized as one of the driving forces behind the growth of Saudi Arabia’s film industry, he has played a pivotal role in connecting the Kingdom’s emerging cinema sector with the international film community. Al Turki served as CEO of the Red Sea Film Foundation from 2021 to 2024 before becoming an Advisor to the Foundation. Under his leadership, the first three editions of the Red Sea International Film Festival welcomed more than 35,000 visitors and established the festival as a prominent global platform for cinema. In 2023, the Foundation was represented at the 76th Cannes Film Festival with nine Red Sea-backed films selected for the official program, including the opening-night film Jeanne du Barry. In 2021, he launched the Red Sea International Film Festival’s Women in Cinema initiative, supporting and celebrating female filmmakers from around the world. Through partnerships with Vanity Fair Europe, the initiative expanded internationally with events in Cannes, Venice, and Jeddah. Beyond film, Al Turki is an active philanthropist who supports UNICEF, amfAR, and several charitable initiatives in Saudi Arabia. He has also collaborated with leading luxury brands including Dior and Cartier and was named Infiniti Japan’s first Chief Luxury Ambassador in 2024. Al Turki was named GQ Middle East’s Man of the Year in 2022 and received the Philanthropic Leadership Award at the amfAR Gala during the Venice International Film Festival in 2024.
