Mallika Prasad

Mallika Prasad is an Indian actor, writer/director, and teacher whose work spans film, television, theatre, and training. She gained instant nationwide recognition for her breakout performance as Amma, the antagonist in Mardaani 3 (2026), noted for its intensity and depth. With a double master's degrees in Acting and Performance Making from NSD and Goldsmiths, she has worked across languages and media for over three decades. Her early film work includes the National Award-winning Kannada film Kanooru Heggadathi (1999), directed by Girish Karnad, and the title role in Devi Ahilya Bai (2001) alongside Shabana Azmi. Recent screen credits include Killer Soup (2024), Aspirants (Seasons 2 and 3), and Almost Pyaar with DJ Mohabbat (2023). She wrote and directed For My Ela (2025) which has won accolades at festivals across the globe. Mallika is the Founder and Artistic Director of Actors Ensemble India Forum and the founder of Vachika Voicework. A senior actor and voice teacher, she is Associate Teacher and South Asia Regional Head for the Fitzmaurice Voice Institute. Her stage work include the award-winning production of Translations at META and her solo show Hidden in Plain Sight, winner at the Edinburgh Fringe Festival.
