Janis Ahern was born Janis Reno in Upstate New York. She graduated with a BA from Hartwick College with 2 Majors - English & Theatre. Janis' professional debut was as Sally Bowles in Cabaret opposite acclaimed Baritone Dwayne Croft. Janis trained at HB studios in NYC with Bill Hickey & Uta Hagen and at the Lee Strasberg studios.
