Mitra Rafee

Mitra Rafee, cinema and theater actress, was born in Tehran in December 1990. She has received her master's degree from the College of Theater and Art at the University of Tehran. Her artistic profession began at the "Intellectual Center of Children and Adolescents" in 2000, and she entered the world of art. In 2008, owing to her brilliant acting in the show "The Dots Attached to You" (Noghteh Chinhaye Motasel Be To), directed by Amir Hossein Shafiee, she was given the honor of winning the Best Female Actress Award in the 36th Festival of Fajr Theater. Her latest theatrical play was in the show "Hell" (Doozakh), directed by Reza Asghari in the fall of 2017. Mitra Rafee also had starring roles in the shows "House of Bernard Alba" (Khaneh Bernard Alba), directed by Mohammad Barari, "The Horses Behind the Window" (Asbhaye Poshte Panjareh), directed by Pouya Yadegari, the monologue show of "Café Polsheri", directed by Pouya Yadegari, "From this Darkness" (Az In Tariki), directed by Mitra Rafee, "Cherry Garden" (Bagheh Albaloo) directed by Mehran Jalilvand, "Rabbit's Nest" (Laneh Khargoosh),directed by "Fariborz Karimi", "Somehow like ..." Among the awards she has ever won, the Best Actress Award from the Fajr Theater Festival 2008, the Best Female Actress Award from the Niavaran Single Theater Festival 2008, Best Female Actress Award from the University Theater Festival 2013, Best Actress Award from the Monologue Festival of Universities of Art 2014, and Best Director of the monologue show Festival of Universities of Art 2014, are the distinguished ones to be mentioned. She was also honored at the Niavaran Single Festival 2014, and the Student Theater Festival in the same year. Mitra Rafee, entered the world of cinema due to her excellent play in the movie "Columbus" in 2018, authored and directed by Hatef Ali Mardani, and later she cooperated with Behnam Behzadi to act in the movie "I'm afraid". In the year 2019, she appeared in Mohammad Reza Kheradmand's movie " To write once again", and had the experience of playing a different role in his movie. She has, furthermore, cooperated with Iranian short filmmakers for several times so far. She also has the experience of directing some theatrical shows, named "Somehow like ...", "From This Darkness," and "Becky Sharp", among which the first show "Somehow like ...", had been awarded at the Lahore Festival in Pakistan. She has worked as a director in the production of a season of Omid Channel of the IRIB, as well.
