Sung Dong Il is a popular South Korean character actor. Born on April 27, 1967, he is well known for his role as a maniacal slave hunter with a high-pitched laugh in the popular 2010 television drama series “The Slave Hunters/Chuno.” That role garnered him the Best Supporting Actor Award at the 2010 KBS Drama Awards. Sung Dong Il made his acting debut in theater in 1991 and then made his television debut in the 1998 drama “Eun Shil.” He has appeared in many popular works since, including the recent popular dramas “Reply 1997” (2012), “Reply 1994” (2013), “It’s Okay, That’s Love” (2014) and “Reply 1988” (2015), as well as the popular films “200 Pounds Beauty” (2006), “Miss Granny” (2014) and “Proof of Innocence” (2016).
