Shamal Aba Rash Rashla was born in 1955 in Sulaymaniyah and completed her primary and secondary education in Sulaymaniyah. In 1974, she left school and moved to the mountains. In 1976 he graduated from the Institute of Fine Arts in Baghdad. In 1977 he became a primary teacher in Kanarwe and for six months he was transferred to the Directorate of School Activities in Sulaymaniyah. In 1993, he left Kurdistan and moved abroad. After the dissolution of the Soran Theater Troupe in 1972, he became a member of the Kurdish Peshraw Theater Troupe. He has been a member of the Kurdish Fine Arts Association since 1975 and has performed most of his works in Sulaymaniyah. In 2009, he was awarded the Gold Medal in a ceremony with his absence. Some of his works abroad: - 1994 Kurdish short film translated into Dutch on RTL4 TV, Dutch directed by Hussein Sewdin. - The Teenager Who No Longer Speaks – with the famous Dutch artist Ben Sombogard in 1995 with several other Kurdish artists including Akram Sulaiman. The scenes of this film were shot in Belgium, Morocco and the Netherlands. - In 1996, he participated in a theatrical work for refugee children in the Netherlands called The Princes Crown - In 1997 - Assistant Director of the Dutch musical Oparet with Erik van Waalaijk van Doorn. - In 1998, he participated in the first Kurdish theater festival abroad in Berlin with the play Dubara Dastanek. This play was prepared and directed by Sirwan Rahim. - In 2000, he participated in the second Kurdish theater festival abroad with five paintings prepared and directed by Shorsh Qadir. - In 2001, he starred in the German film 35mm Yellow Days, which participated in several international festivals. - In 2002, he starred in the Dutch play Wedding Night, written by Vera Aikens and directed by Arab artist Rasool al-Sagheer - In 2002, he starred in the television drama Hallo Holand, written and directed by Akram Sulaiman. - In 2004, he played the lead role in the television drama (Namoyi) written and directed by Shorsh Qadir. - In the same year, 2004, he starred in the film A Sea of Memories, written and directed by Kamran Rauf. - In 2005, he starred in the Dutch short film Gekleurde Ijs for Art Universaty, directed by Ako Sirini. - In 2006, he starred in the Dutch play De Herineringen, written and directed by Kamran Rauf and translated into Dutch by Shamali Abarash.
